On a Grand Prix weekend there is a race in each of MotoGP’s three categories:
  • 125cc – Is the first step for young riders into world championship competition. Maximum engine displacement is 125cc (single-cylinder units).

Rossi Yamaha R1 to be auctioned for Riders

MotoGP’s official charity will benefit from a very special prize being auctioned in Los Angeles this Saturday (November 13th).

World famous auction house Bonhams has announced the release of its catalogue for the upcoming "Classic California" auction on November 13th at the Petersen Museum in downtown Los Angeles. The auction will include a truly one-of-a-kind motorcycle offered in collaboration with the most successful motorcycle racer of his era, Valentino Rossi. All the money raised by the sale of this unique lot will support the work of Riders for Health. 

Stoner departs Valencia “very happy” with Honda debut

The Australian was in an extremely positive mood after completing his first two days of riding on the RC212V, setting the best time on day two.

Casey Stoner’s Honda debut sent out a clear message to his rivals as the Australian set the best time of the second day at the Official MotoGP Test at Valencia. The 25 year-old then expressed his all-round satisfaction with the RC212V despite his adaptation to the machine still being in its early stages.
Stoner worked on a range of different electronics and chassis variations, tested some new parts and also Bridgestone tyres in a busy day two,

Early prices still available for 2011 Silverstone tickets

MotoGP fans wishing to save 20% off all tickets for the British Grand Prix have until Monday November 22nd to take advantage of the ‘early bird’ prices.

Silverstone is already focusing its attentions on delivering another exhilarating British Grand Prix on June 10th-12th next year. This year MotoGP’s highly anticipated return to Silverstone, in June, was a resounding success, praised by riders, fans and media alike, and the Northamptonshire circuit is planning an even bigger two-wheeled festival in 2011.
